I agree it does feel very dreamy, it kinda reminds of the song «children» by Robert Miles too.

And is it me, or does your clap sound like a finger snap more then a clap? XD

well, here's your first review

Here's what I think of your song.

The first word that comes to my mind is hypnotizing...
let's go into more details:

pads: this is the thing that struck my ear the most. I am not sure what to think of it. I find a bit weird when it goes low-high-low, but at the same time, it's like I said before: hypnotizing...

drums: Another thing that struck: I'm not an expert in ambient, but I'm pretty sure drums aren't common in ambient. BUT, it does bring a nice feel to it. I think the song would sound dull if it wasn't for them, although it does make it feel more of some kind of soft rock-ish song...

Synths and voices: again: hypnotizing, I don't know what else to say...

Overall: it's a really good first try I must say. You ventures marvelously into unknown territory, way to go!

i originally wanted this to be a hiphop song and i had it under the hiphop genre when a friend told me that it's more Downtempo than anything else and that makes a LOTT of sense.. it's definitely not meant for vocals i think it would ruin the whole feel of the song.

like always, a very good song. Are you studying music or a professional musician? Cuz really, I'd see you being one. I'd hear your music in clubs and such :D

I don't know what to say anymore when I listen to your song, I feel like a broken record XD

I'm not a professional musician, but since I still do music myself, I know it can take a lot of work, and that it's easy to make mistakes. But hearing your music, it feels like everythings a breeze for you...

haha i'm actually not studying music, infact i just got into Saint Louis College of Pharmacy and plan on attending late august.

Stop it with this broken record crap! i can't express how much i value feedback from you guys!

And yes it takes a whole lot of work and can sometimes take months to finish a song! But im getting better and im starting to see how to organize my songs and all that junk.

wow, I can't think of any other word then badass to describe this song. It's dark, crunchy, heavy, hardcore, just overall bad---wait for it---ass.
I especially like the synths you use. I'm a big fan of high energy synths, like saws(which I think is what you used in here, if my ears aren't deceiving me). The drum beat kicked ass too :)

damn sweet!

Great man. It has a great beat, progression, synths. The only thing that felt completely out of place was the baby laugh. I mean, the image I get when I listen to this song is someone(s) walking/driving in a city at night, thus the baby being out of place.

name suggestion: Nightlife

bahhhh that's basically the concensus im getting about the baby laugh, that it's out of place so im thinking about going back and changing it to some nightlife sounds (yes your title gave me the idea =])

intense

This song is intense in emotion, like your stranded in the desert and not just walking through it. Will I survive? the end of the song tells us yes, as it sounds more hopeful!

hey Jabi, sorry I took so much time to come check out the second and third part.

I really like this piece, since it sounds just like the wind. It can be soothing and relaxing, like a breeze, but at the next instant it's racing and holding you back. Both an obstacle and a friend.

I can't help but feel this one since it's wind themed, it makes me remember as a kid, when I was frustrated or sad, I would go to the park, and go on the swing, swing a bit, close my eyes and feel the breeze, just to calm me down...

pretty good for a song

yea, it's your first song, so I'll judge you accordingly.

Drums: way too much fade in/fade out. It just sounds a bit awkward that the kicks keep going out. Also, it'd be nice if you put more work in your beat. What you have is just a kick+snare. Try using cymbals.

Bass: hummm, absent? I heard a low back synth, but no bass. My bad, I hear one in the second part of the song. Just mind that the bass usually tends to be the same thoughout the song, much like the beat.

Synth: It's fine, although it doesn't sound like a harstyle synth, until halfway through, and this is one of the main problem of the song. Your buildup is too long, it feels like your song starts around 1:50 to 2:00, whichs is very long for a 3 and a half minute song.

Overall feel: Your intro to the song is good, although very long. Next, your main melody is also good. Your outro is way too sudden with just a cymbal crash. As for your transitions, some are fine, but others are very sudden, you need more then just a cymbal crash to transit. All in all, a good song with flaws, splendid first try at making a song :D

P.S.: Dance includes vocals, thus your song should be classified as techno, or better hardstyle, but I doubt you can class a song hardstyle. I don't remember seeing hardstyle in the list...
